Secrets of a celebrity makeup artist
Top makeup artist Scott Patric spills his secrets about celebrity beauty

1. Moisturize
Skin
According to international makeup artist Scott Patric, the first step in a transformation is prepping the canvas: your face. Moisturize before putting on makeup. Rub in your moisturizer lightly with your fingertips to help wake up the skin and bring your natural colour to the surface.

3. Conceal
Conceal any dark under-eye circles and blemishes by strategically dabbing foundation on those spots. You don’t need a full face of foundation to do so.

4. Blush
Use natural-coloured blush on the apple of your cheeks (with a quick scoop up to the temples) to create a healthy glow. Avoid dark shades that will make you look like you walked off the set of Dynasty.

2. Shadow your lids
Next, apply an eye shadow base to your lids to give you a smoky look: warm brown, if you’re a brunette and taupe if you’re a blonde or redhead.

3. Line your eyes
To make your eyes appear bigger, run eyeliner around the outside of the rim to widen them; if you have a wider eye, then run the liner on the inside of the rim.

1. White Teeth
Smile
White teeth are a beauty must and teeth whiteners will brighten up your smile quickly. Listerine just introduced Whitening Listerine Quick Dissolving Strips, which do the job in time it takes to apply your makeup.

2. Watch out for bright lipsticks
Stay away from bright red lipstick shades. Sharply contrasting colours can make even the whitest teeth look yellow.
