We all have our share of washroom horror stories’from a simple lack of hand soap, to a full-on, horror-movie-esque scene with broken stalls and flickering lights. Is it so much to ask for a luxe loo with a flat-screen TV and hardwood walls? Apparently not, as that is exactly the kind of thing you’ll find at The Byrne Road Cactus Club Cafe in Vancouver (pictured above).

Padded furniture and smoked-glass stall doors also helped the spot snag the first annual "Cintas Canada’s Best Restroom Award." Votes were cast by the public online and finalists were decided based on style, hygiene and public access.

Second place went to Toronto’s Spice Route Asian Bistro & Bar, for its exposed stone walls and garden view.

What’s the nicest public restroom you’ve ever seen? Do you have any restroom horror stories to share?
