The first Monday in May has been declared Melanoma Monday in Canada by the Canadian Dermatology Association’s Board of Directors.

To mark the inaugural event, Ottawa dermatologists and members of the Canadian Dermatology Association will be screening MPs, Senators and their staff for skin cancer on Parliament Hill.

"Estimates show more new cases of skin cancer being diagnosed each year than prostate, breast and lung cancers combined," says Dr. Denise Wexler, President of the Canadian Dermatology Association.

Editor-in-Chief, Bonnie Munday, will also be at the event to represent Best Health as the CDA’s official media partner.
