Decreasing your risk for breast cancer could be as simple as going for a long walk every day.

A new study, published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention found that post-menopausal women who walked at least seven hours a week had a 14 percent lower risk of breast cancer than women who walked three hours or less a week.

‘Our results clearly support an association between physical activity and postmenopausal breast cancer, with more vigorous activity having a stronger effect,’ lead study author Alpa Patel told cancer.org.
