Along with Concerned Children’s Advertisers (CCA), and several other media companies, Best Health is proud to support the first Healthy Me Week (June 4 to 10)’an annual health initiative "that empowers Canadian kids and families to lead a healthier, more active lifestyle."

The recent release of the 2012 Active Healthy Kids Canada Report Card revealed a failing grade for kids’ physical activity levels and a D+ for family activity levels. "Only seven percent of Canadian kids and 15 percent of adults meet the recommended levels of daily physical activity," says CCA president Bev Deeth.

According to the 2012 report, 46 percent of Canadian kids get three hours or less of active play per week, including weekends. With an estimated one in four Canadian children considered overweight or obese, Healthy Me Week will remind Canadians to make healthier food choices and stay physically active.
