Winter Wellness requires Vitamin C

Fight back this cold and flu season with a high-quality vitamin C supplement

Best Health [SPONSORED]

It all starts with a tingle in the back of your throat… a few too many sneezes in a row and then—bam! You’re hit with a full-blown cold that knocks you out for days. Or worse, you develop the flu, with the fever, headaches, muscle soreness and fatigue that go along with it. It seems that everyone is getting sick at this time of year, and it’s no wonder: Flu season in Canada drags on for half a year, running from November to April.

Being sick is miserable, but fortunately, there are ways to reduce your chances of the sniffles, and maintain good health. While there’s no cure for cold or flu, there are several ways to naturally boost your immune system, reduce symptoms and speed up recovery. Vitamin C is one of these: evidence suggests that taking high doses of this vital nutrient may help shorten the duration of illness. It can also act as an antihistamine and anti-inflammatory, thus helping to dry up a runny nose.

Keep in mind, however, that when it comes to vitamin C, not all supplements are created equal. Ester-C® is a non-acidic form of vitamin C that’s gentle on the stomach and less likely to cause the digestive issues associated with regular vitamin C made from ascorbic acid. Plus, Ester-C® has active vitamin C metabolites, which intensify its absorption and enhance its retention in the white blood cells of the immune system – for up to 24 hours!

Sisu Ester-C® products are available in capsule, tablet, chewable or powder form. They’re ideal for use all year round, and the dosage can be increased during cold and flu season. Try Sisu Ester-C® Supreme, with added antioxidant bioflavonoids and immune-boosting arabinogalactan. Ester-C® Chewables are great for kids and adults alike, they’re naturally sweetened and available in delicious flavours such as citrus punch and wildberry. If you are exposed to someone else’s cold, or come down with one yourself, try Sisu Cold & Flu Rescue with Ester-C®. This fast-acting, potent formula will help reduce and alleviate symptoms without the side-effects of common over-the-counter drugs, so you’ll feel better…faster.

Relief from cold and flu symptoms is possible. Just add Ester-C® vitamin C to your cold and flu-fighting arsenal—and send those germs packing.
