If you’ve spent time in Muskoka during the summer months, then you know its picturesque, natural beauty is one-of-a-kind. Whether cruising by boat around its glistening lakes or strolling by foot through the region’s charming towns, you can see Muskoka is a place of true wonder. So, it’s no surprise many Canadians call it home for the summer, including many of Gee Beauty‘s Toronto clientele.

The family-run lifestyle beauty brand, which has locations in Toronto and Miami, has opened its first Ontario pop-up in the heart of cottage country: Port Carling. The two-week pop-up will be open until July 15 at the Duke’s Building on Lake Muskoka. (FYI: You should do these 20 things at least once by the end of summer.)

What you can expect

The Muskoka pop-up will offer locals and cottage-goers summer-focused beauty maintenance services. “We will be offering brow- and lash-tinting, threading, mini makeup applications, and in-the-chair skin treatments,” says Stephanie Gee, co-founder, director of operations and media at Gee Beauty.

Why does cottage country make a good place to receive brow and lash tinting services? “It gives the look of natural colour or enhancement on the brows and lashes, without needing to wear mascara or even a brow pencil.” Read: It’s the perfect solution for going in and out of the lake without having to worry about makeup smudging.

“We have always kept very true to our brand mantra: enhance your natural attributes,” says Gee. “Our focus is on education and experience, which in turn, gives our clients a deeper confidence in their natural beauty.”

Here are some of Gee’s favourite glow-enhancing products for a barely-there, cottage-appropriate look.
